As vice chairman of Worrell Water Technologies, Kim Goodyear is responsible for the company’s daily operations as well as for day-to-day operations of other companies under the Dharma Group umbrella. Goodyear reports directly to Chairman Tom Worrell and serves as his right hand, overseeing a variety of functions including staffing, financial operations, real estate acquisitions and legal affairs.
Charged with putting Worrell’s vision into action, Goodyear works directly with contractors and attorneys representing the firm and serves as a liaison with business partners. A licensed building contractor in New Mexico, Goodyear also has oversight of the company’s construction and historic property renovation projects. She sees her most important role with the company as being able to ensure that the right people are in the right jobs, whether they’re employees or contractors.
Prior to joining the company in 1995, Goodyear honed her strong organizational skills while working in a series of positions, including serving as risk manager for Worrell Publications. She has also worked in the insurance and telecommunications industries.
Goodyear has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Florida Atlantic University and is a graduate of executive programs at the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business and at the Cornell University School of Hotel Administration.
