Tom Harvey, Board Member

Tom Harvey has built a career helping individuals and organizations to thrive in the energy and environment markets. He brings to the board of Worrell Water Technologies a history of launching successful companies centered on business development and technology commercialization. 

As Founder and Chairman of the Global Environment & Technology Foundation, Tom has organized national initiatives on:

  • Aids Healthcare
  • Energy Strategy
  • Global Change
  • Sustainable Development
  • Environmental Technology Commercialization

Tom has also served as CEO of Clean Fuels Technology, Inc., a leading alternative fuel company.  As Chairman of Roy F. Weston, Inc., he presided over that firm's reorganization and turnaround.

Prior to his career in business, Tom spent 20 years in senior positions in the White House, the National Security Council, the Department of Defense, and in the U.S. Congress. His White House experience includes developing the National Security Strategy report for President Reagan, working under the direction of General Colin Powell, and developing the National Space Strategy, working as a member of the National Space Council in the Bush Administration.  In the Department of Defense he served as Congressional Liaison Officer, specializing in space operations, intelligence, energy and the environment and as speechwriter for the Army Chief of Staff.

Tom holds a B.S. in Engineering from West Point, an M.A. in International Relations from Boston University, and an M.B.A. from the University of Puget Sound.  He was a Johns Hopkins University Foreign Affairs Fellow.
